Tam Nguyen is a graduate student in the Department of Psychology’s PhD program at the University of Wisconsin-Madison. She received her BA in Psychology from the University of Louisiana-Monroe in May 2020 with a minor in Computer Science. Tam’s research focuses on the application of virtual reality (VR) in science education. In particular she studies how 3D interactions in VR relate to students’ interest in science and motivation to learn. She also explores aspects of visual perception in VR to create engaging virtual lessons without hindering students’ learning outcomes. In her free time, Tam enjoys visiting art museums, strolling at the grocery stores or watching movies.
